Krystyn Lambert became enamored with the art of magic around age five, as a white-faced mime “pulled” quarters from her ear at Universal Studios, Hollywood. By the age of twelve, she was the youngest member of the Magic Castle’s Junior Society and has been featured in their “Future Stars of Magic” week annually. Krystyn’s first stage routine, “Enchanted Rings”, combined the use of Chinese Linking Rings, ballet, and mime, as she acted out the tale of a magical sprite who tames seven rambunctious rings. Krystyn’s current act has a pop / hip-hop feel. It is fast-paced and tightly move perfectly synced with its musical passage. At the end of this routine, Krystyn defies gravity with a full body tilt of a 40 degree angle. This is followed by an athletic linking ring routine, again specifically choreographed to its music. As said by LittleEgyptMagic.com, she “takes billiard ball manipulation and linking rings into entertainment highs never dreamed of classic texts or Chavez classes.” In 2004 Krystyn placed 2nd on television’s “America’s Most Talented Kids” (PAX Network), making her the first and only magician to place in this all-talent competition. (She’s still getting fan mail on MySpace!) Last year, Krystyn was featured in Dante and Blaire Larsen’s “Women in Boxes” film documentary, including an interview hosted by Max Maven. In February 2007, Krystyn placed third in the World Magic Seminar’s Teen Competition. According to magician / book critic Jamy Ian Swiss, “Krystyn is a remarkably talented and self-possessed young lady. I am impressed with the thoughtfulness and maturity that seem uncanny and beyond her years. Krystyn’s one of the serious ones, and it’s reflected in her work.” Krystyn enjoys yellow curry and spends her free time with her pet pig, writing prose and sonnets, and immersing herself in literature.
